As teachers, administrators and staff we are committed to:
Since its founding in 1861, the University of Washington has grown to become one of the world's leading universities. The UW enrolls more than 50,000 students each year and is consistently ranked one of the top universities in the United States and world. The UW also features world-class libraries, art, music, drama, sports and medical care.
In addition to its respected academics, the UW boasts one of the most beautiful campuses in the world. Located just four miles north of downtown Seattle, it features stunning views of snow-capped Mount Rainier and nearby Lake Washington. In the spring, the university's many gardens are awash with color and the Japanese cherry trees on campus show off their spectacular pink and white blossoms.
