Global Business Program (GBP)



The Global Business Program (GBP) covers a wide range of international business subjects. The curriculum is developed with the guidance of an expert advisory board made up of Seattle-area business leaders. These experts make sure the classes will prepare you for success in the global workplace.

Schedule

This nine-month program is divided into three quarters of study. You will take two classes each quarter, one core course and one elective. Core courses meet every day Monday through Friday for a total of 15.5 hours of instruction each week. Elective courses meet for a total of 2.5 hours of class time each week.

Courses

In the Global Business Program you will take one core course each quarter that covers a major business subject and also choose an elective course each quarter.

Instructors

Global Business Program core courses are taught by UW Foster School of Business lecturers and leading industry experts. Elective courses are taught by experienced instructors from UW International & English Language Programs.

Location

All classes are held at the UW's downtown Seattle location, located in the Puget Sound Plaza Building, 1325 4th Ave., Suite 400 (map). Located in the busy heart of Seattle, not far from the waterfront, the UW’s downtown location offers the best of our city’s culture and events, food and drink, and business community. The downtown location is easily accessed by the bus and light rail.

Speak English Policy

We promote a Speak English policy at the UW's downtown Seattle location to help you make the most of your stay here. We believe that you should only speak English while you are in our program. Although this is challenging, students find that the policy really helps to improve their English.

Refund Policy

Our refund policy is as follows:

  • 100 percent tuition refund if you withdraw by 5 p.m. of the fifth business day of the program
  • 50 percent tuition refund if you withdraw by 5 p.m. of the 10th business day of the program
  • No tuition refund if you withdraw after 5 p.m. of the 10th business day of the program

All application, registration and deposit fees are nonrefundable. However, in the unlikely event that this program is cancelled due to low enrollment, all program and registration fees shall be refunded.
