Visiting International Student Internship & Training (VISIT) Program

This program allows students pursuing degrees at foreign universities to undertake full-time supervised research and work-based learning experiences at the UW. Students will be hosted by a UW academic department; the structured internships can last up to 12 months.

Visiting International Student Engaged in Research (VISER) Program

This program is designed for foreign students who wish to pursue a full-time prescribed course of study at the UW with a specific educational objective, and which is substantially supported by the student's home government or university. VISER allows for courses of study that last between 13 and 24 months.
