Business Short Term English Program (STEP)


UW International & English Language Programs welcomes applications from students who:

  • Are at least 18 years old by the time the program begins or are 17 years old and have graduated high school
  • Have a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 65

Note:If you cannot provide proof of your legal age, your payment will be returned and you will not be allowed to enroll.

Registration Steps

You can register online for STEP by following these steps:

  1. Select Session:
    • Summer STEP registration will begin in March 2018.
  2. Read the Noncredit Courses section and then click Continue.
  3. If the session listed is correct, click Continue Registration Process.
  4. Complete the Personal Information fields. If you don't have a Social Security Number, leave that field blank. Be sure to include your email address so that the program staff can contact you.
  5. Complete the Billing Information and Credit Card Information fields and then click Send Electronically.

You will receive a confirmation email once your registration is complete.

Note: This program requires a minimum number of students to run. In the unlikely event that this program is cancelled due to low enrollment, all program and registration fees shall be refunded.

For group registration, please review our group registration instructions and email the STEP team directly with details about your participants. STEP registration operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact us early to register your group.
