IELTS Preparation Course
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a standard English proficiency test accepted by the University of Washington and thousands of other schools around the world. This advanced-level course will help you prepare for the test by teaching you various strategies and developing your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
There are two versions of the IELTS. The Academic version is for people who need to demonstrate their English proficiency for entry into a college or university or for professional licensing. The General Training version is used by some employers and for immigration purposes.
The IELTS is similar to other English proficiency tests, but there are several unique characteristics. First, the IELTS is a true test of international English, so you may hear many different accents in the listening section. Second, the reading, writing and listening parts of the test are all paper-based, so you don't need to deal with any technical problems. Third, the speaking part of the test is an interview with a real person rather than a computer recording.
