UW International & English Language Programs continues to make adjustments to operations due to the pandemic. Below are some frequently asked questions about classes, immunization requirements and our planned return to in-person instruction. We'll continue to update this page with the latest information available.
When will in-person IELP classes resume?
All IELP classes are being offered remotely (online) instead of in-person during summer quarter. However, like the rest of the University of Washington, IELP is planning to resume in-person classes starting this fall.
Does the University of Washington require students to be vaccinated against COVID-19?
Yes, all IELP students must be vaccinated against COVID-19. Learn more about this requirement.
I need to talk to an advisor. Can I still get an advising appointment?
The IELP offices in the UW Tower and in downtown Seattle remain closed for in-person advising and appointments during summer quarter. However, you can contact us by email if you need assistance or would like to schedule a phone or video advising appointment.
Is the registration office open?
While our physical registration office at Roosevelt Commons continues to be closed due to the pandemic, our staff is still available to process your registration. You can register and make payments by phone.
