Global Electrical & Computer Engineering Program

Enhance your understanding of key topics in electrical engineering with the Global Electrical & Computer Engineering Program, offered jointly by IELP and the UW Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering. This six-week professional enrichment program is designed for international undergraduate students. The coursework centers on the core fundamentals of electrical engineering, advanced English language skills and American academic culture.

Who Should Apply

The Global Electrical & Computer Engineering Program is open to undergraduate students entering their second or third year at an international university. Students must have satisfied all program prerequisites.

Program Features

  • Two engineering courses that feature exciting, hands-on electrical engineering laboratory experiences
  • A special course about academic culture and learning expectations at U.S. universities
  • Visits to major corporations in the Seattle area, including Microsoft, Fluke and T-Mobile

You'll increase your cross-cultural skills and develop strategies for success in American higher education through the American Academic Culture course. Meet university students from around the world while enhancing your electrical engineering and critical thinking skills and knowledge.
