GRE Preparation Course

This advanced-level course teaches you effective strategies and essential skills for taking the GRE Test (also called the GRE General Test).

The GRE covers three main areas:

  • Analytical Writing – measures your critical thinking and analytical writing skills
  • Verbal Reasoning – measures your ability to analyze and evaluate written material; synthesize information obtained from it; analyze relationships among parts of sentences; and recognize relationships among words and concepts
  • Quantitative Reasoning – measures your problem-solving ability using basic concepts of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and data analysis

The primary focus of the course will be on the Verbal Reasoning and Analytical Writing sections. We will also review the Quantitative Reasoning section, emphasizing the questions that rely on language skills.

Throughout the quarter, we will practice the different types of question included on the test. You will also work on increasing your vocabulary, developing your reading skills, and improving your critical thinking and analytical writing skills.

The course includes computer lab time, allowing for practice and individualized help.
