Sample Customized Professional Program: Higher Education Leadership Lecture Series

As part of its commitment to providing high-quality education and administration, an overseas university requested a short-term professional enrichment training for a group of deans and deputy directors. This university wanted specific administrators to gain a deeper understanding of U.S. education philosophy, management methods and innovation in higher education. To help accomplish this goal, we created a full-time F-1 eligible program for them. This customized training was offered on the UW Seattle campus.

Program Description

This seven-day program provided an opportunity for visiting university administrators, deans and faculty with administrative roles to learn about the U.S. higher education system — including structures, philosophies and approaches. A team of highly qualified higher education administration practitioners at UW facilitated a series of interactive instructional sessions on topics such as leadership, management, strategy, innovation, and assessment and evaluation. As part of this training, participants also attended two educational site visits led by a UW instructor to gain a broader perspective of higher educational institutions in the United States.

UW IELP can offer programs focusing on a variety of content areas. Contact us with your request to find out more.
